About Us

On behalf of the Southern Philippines Society of Theoretical and Applied Statistics, Inc. (SPSTAt Inc.), it is my great pleasure to warmly welcome you to SPSTAt2026: An International Conference in Statistics, Data Science and Analytics. This gathering is more than a conference. It is an opportunity for us to come together as a community; to learn from one another, exchange ideas and experiences, share our work, build collaborations, and celebrate the many ways in which Statistics contributes to knowledge and society. SPSTAt Inc. was established with the purpose of bringing Statistics educators, students, researchers, and practitioners together to promote and advance the learning, teaching, research, and development of Statistics. Creating an active and dynamic avenue for the exchange of ideas and experiences is at the heart of what the Society hopes to achieve.

Whether you are presenting your research, learning from the work of others, joining a discussion, meeting old colleagues, or making new connections, I hope that you will find this gathering meaningful and inspiring. For our students and young researchers, may this conference encourage you to pursue your ideas with curiosity and confidence. For our teachers and mentors, may it provide opportunities to share experiences and inspire the next generation. And for our researchers and practitioners, may it open doors to new collaborations and meaningful applications of Statistics. Most importantly, I hope that you will experience SPSTAt Inc. not simply as an organization, but as a community—a community of people who are willing to learn from one another and help one another grow. As we gather for SPSTAt2026, let us celebrate not only the advances in our discipline, but also the people who make those advances possible.

May this gathering be the beginning of new ideas, new partnerships, and new possibilities for Statistics in the Southern Philippines and beyond. Let us learn together, collaborate generously, and advance Statistics together.
